The Halls’ Football Championship

The Championship started in 2013, on the initiative of a group of students, and, with the university’s help, it turned into a genuine football league of the student campus.
Each hall of residence creates its own football team and thus, annually, there are 14-18 of them. The teams play one match each week all over the academic year. In each game also participate at least 50-60 supporters, students who support the team of their own hall of residence.

The refereeing has also been done by the students who have a 1st category referee card, issued by the Romanian Football Federation – the County Association of Football for the 5th league.
The students’ involvement grew more and more enthusiastic from one match to the other; they purchased sports equipment for their respective team, which they personalised with the names and the university logos.
